Here we go again into the rabbit hole of past poets.
Poets that poured their blood into the words we can see today. What wonderful beings they were. On today's look we are looking at Mr. Poe yet again. I have mentioned in the past Poe is my favorite poet(ha) by far. This particular poem was suggested by Sebastian. Thank you very much and I hope you enjoy it. The Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe Link here I woke to another morning
My second morning in this place This place on the interwebs Nothing has changed Few have spoken Another life I see to spare a token Of their heart Good afternoon everyone(To me at least lol) May Peace be with you Here we have my favorite poet of all time.
I don't know too much about him or such but I do know I love his work. My reintroduction to poetry was in High school and the one whom inspired me was the teacher(was actually this poet but I'm going with what I said to make them seem super) Sorry for the Wait Here is a piece by him Annabel Lee by Edgar Allan Poe It was many and many a year ago, In a kingdom by the sea, That a maiden there lived whom you may know By the name of ANNABEL LEE; And this maiden she lived with no other thought Than to love and be loved by me. I was a child and she was a child, In this kingdom by the sea; But we loved with a love that was more than love, I and my Annabel Lee; With a love that the winged seraphs of heaven Coveted her and me. And this was the reason that, long ago, In this kingdom by the sea, A wind blew out of a cloud, chilling My beautiful Annabel Lee; So that her highborn kinsman came And bore her away from me, To shut her up in a sepulchre In this kingdom by the sea. The angels, not half so happy in heaven, Went envying her and me, Yes!, that was the reason (as all men know, In this kingdom by the sea) That the wind came out of the cloud by night, Chilling and killing my Annabel Lee. But our love it was stronger by far than the love Of those who were older than we, Of many far wiser than we, And neither the angels in heaven above, Nor the demons down under the sea, Can ever dissever my soul from the soul Of the beautiful Annabel Lee. For the moon never beams without bringing me dreams Of the beautiful Annabel Lee; And the stars never rise but I feel the bright eyes Of the beautiful Annabel Lee; And so, all the night-tide, I lie down by the side Of my darling, my darling, my life and my bride, In the sepulchre there by the sea, In her tomb by the sounding sea. Just typing cause my mind is wandering
How are you? What is up? Simple enough questions lead to nothing answered How is school? How's the Family? Still a failure to move forward How do I say this simple to get it away To put it in a place all alone? Well, I could simply say I miss you That is too forward I will admit So I must find a way to say that Even if it kills me Wow!
What could I do to change time? Maybe to reflect upon the past Seeing memories flash by me Leaving my vision It is blinding As my current self became uncaring Unwavering from a set position in time So now I wait as the memories fade And my heart wakes up To return part of it to darkness Alone I'm sorry Wrote by: Thomas Armstrong It is not smart to act this way
To feel pain and not say anything To miss is Human To hold is too But to love with your heart is much too soon I care for them and can’t say how I miss their touch but it is gone now Just like a missing case They are gone without a trace |
